Welcome!

Our mission is to increase and enhance the interdependence
and full participation in the community of people with disabilities.
We accomplish this through the use of scientifically sound,
theoretically driven sustainable interventions
and measures that lead to
effective community living solutions and policy change.

In our work at the Research and Training Center on Measurement and Interdependence in Community Living (MICL), we're investigating measurements and developing interventions to enhance the participation of people with disabilities in their communities. We believe our research and educational efforts are contributing to the progress toward our goal: full participation of people with disabilities in our communities.

MICL is a project of the Research and Training Center on Independent Living at the University of Kansas.
