To research, identify, and advance person-environment centered strategies that encourage full participation in society, among persons with disabilities representing diverse cultures, varying socioeconomic strata, and emerging disability populations.
The RRTC mission will be realized through several research and training activities, each influenced by independent living philosophy and values. Researchers will emphasize participatory action research, in which consumers take an active role throughout the research process.
